A lot of my recent work has been based around war, conflict, fighting, and destruction, both manmade and naturally caused. I had been getting a lot of requests for some civil war figures like I had done in the past. I was thinking about some different ideas, specifically revolving around my Shaman Skull piece, and how to incorporate some of the style from that piece into these new pieces. While thinking about war, I thought about how people often decorate their face in different ways when preparing to engage in battle, and I thought some of these ideas could play well in my current work.
